		<description>Sorry, I probably should have been more detailed about that trick; I&#039;ll update the post.  A couple suggestions:  Don&#039;t exit the IDE or disconnect the serial monitor.  Also, since you&#039;re unplugging the USB cable you&#039;ll need to be powering the Arduino with a dedicated power supply.</description>

		<description>I am having difficulty keeping the Arduino from resetting the time using the procedure you describe in step 3 of your post.  No matter if the software is connected or not pulling the USB cable seems to cause the Arduino to lose power and reset.  Am I missing something?  How does the Arduino keep time when it is not powered?
